Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma

Lucidum)

Known as the mushroom of immortality (not an herb) and has many names such as "spirit plant", "tree of life mushroom", "good fortune mushroom" and many other alternatives. For the past 4000 years Reishi has been used in ancient Chinese and Japanese medicines for vitality and energy. It is believed to have certain healing powers and associated with the story of longevity. Qin Shi Huang who ruled during the Qin dynasty (221-206 BCE) (he was also the first emperor of China creating the very first dynasty: Qin Dynasty),  met a wizard who was believed to be 1000 years old. This wizard took the emperor to a series of beautiful islands who was only able to be seen by these wizards and Qin temporarily. Within the islands were magical forests, mushrooms, and creatures. It is said that  these wizards who had magical powers were able to shed their human bodies and become immortal by eating the magical Reishi mushroom. When the emperor was sent back to his homeland, he spent centuries trying to find these mushrooms of immortality again and after three unsuccessful expeditions he died. Somewhat of a magical but morbid story. Today Reishi mushrooms are taking off like wildfire in the name of health.

Holy Basil

Holy Basil, also known as Tulsi,  is known as one of the most sacred plants in Hinduism.

Holy Basil is classified as an adaptogen, which means it may help the body adapt to stress and maintain a balanced physiological response. It is believed to support the adrenal glands and regulate the body's stress hormones.

Holy Basil is rich in antioxidants, such as flavonoids and polyphenols, which help combat oxidative stress and reduce cellular damage caused by free radicals.

Free Radicals are all around us, these free radicals which are chemicals that have unstable electrons. These unstable electrons produce more "radiation" which then causes oxidation of cells within the body.

This herb is also  believed to have a positive impact on mood and cognitive function.

It may help improve mental clarity, focus, and promote a sense of calmness.

Holy Basil's rich cultural heritage, spiritual significance, and potential health benefits make it a remarkable herb that encompasses both tradition and modern wellness approaches. As with any herbal remedy, incorporating Holy Basil into your routine should be done mindfully and with a holistic perspective on your overall health and well-being.

I suggest buying organic only, as conventional farming breaks down amino acid chains within the plant which ultimatley makes a sick plant, therefore making you sick.
